I love dry herbs in the winter so I make sure that I have plenty growing in the summer. So far I dried basil, sage, parsley and oregano. My husband made me this great little hanging strip of wood and it looks so much better then couple nails in the wall.

This weekend was nice and slow and relaxing. We went for a long walks along the lake shore, made a trip to the library, I did some baking, cleaning and lots of reading.

Cleaning up.

Right after I stopped working I did major clean up at home. The worst place was my kitchen, there was so much stuff pilled up everywhere. I went thru all the cabinets inside and on top and got rid of everything that I didn't need and now its so much better. It's amazing how much stuff you can accumulate when you are not 100% focused on your home.

In my Garden.

My potatoes are so big and I could probably dig them out but with our tree gone we like them, so I think I will wait.

Trip to the lake.

Last week we went for a really long walk. We took the streetcar downtown and then walk home along the lake shore.Walk that normally would take us 1 hour lasted about 4 hours, because we stopped here and there. The main reason for this outing was to see the giant duck, on the way home we went to the Island airport thru an under ground tunnel that goes under the lake, then we stopped at few playgrounds and on the end we explored new park by the lake really close to our home ( that one is really nice we definitely will visit it again).

My little monkey loves snakes.
