What I do.

I think I mentioned here before that I sew a lot. I have small hobby base business, I have few online stores and I participate in craft shows. Staying home with my family is the most important thing in my life, making sure they are taken care of,  but live is hard on one income in big city like Toronto so that's where my sewing fills in financial gabs. There is one craft show that is like the mother of all shows, there is two of them a year, Spring and Christmas. I was accepted to the Spring one about 3 years ago and I love it, its hard work because I do this on my own, 5 days 11 hours a day. My husband helps me get there and set it up and on the end he helps with taking it down and getting home. The Christmas show is treated separately from the Spring so I had to apply for the Christmas even though I was in the Spring, and you can imagine everyone wants to be in Christmas so it is hard to get in. Earlier this year I received email with bad news once again I was not accepted to the show but I was placed on a waiting list. I was hopping that maybe this year will be the year and just last week I received a phone call with great news, there was a spot available if I want it. I was so happy  I cried for couple hours and then it hit me I have 7 weeks to get ready and so much to do. So for the next 2 months I might not be here us often as I was in the summer because I will be spending every free moment by my sewing machine or hand stitching. Here are few of my creations.

  2. Darling, things. Have you ever thought of doing Nativity pieces? Like just Mary, Joseph and the baby Jesus as stuffed items? I bet they would sell. Good luck. I too sew for a living but I do alterations. $12.00 to hem a pair of pants. Hem 10 pairs and you have $120.00. I am very busy. If you need advice let me know.

  3. Your creatures are so cute. Love the fox. Make lots of reindeer, I think they would be great at Christmas. I use to sell woodcraft items at craft shows and 2 days was the longest one I set up for. Lets us know how it turns out. Good Luck! CindyD
